“Addressing inequalities: building a world which leaves no one behind” is the theme of this year’s edition, which will include the participation of approximately 8,000 people.
The programme is structured around three key topics:
– Why inequalities matter for sustainable development.
– Understanding the structural causes of inequalities.
– Working better together through more effective policies to address inequalities.
Session on digitalisation
Within the framework of these Development Days, on Wednesday June 19th ProFuturo will participate in the session, ‘Digitalisation – a path towards a more inclusive Iberoamerica’, organized by the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI).
This event will also include the presence of Sebastián Nieto Parra, Head of Latin America and the Caribbean Unit at the OECD Development Centre; Silvia Montoya, Director of the UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS); and Ana Capilla, Coordinator of Higher Education, VET and Science of the OEI.
In the session, Leticia Rato, Head of Global Partnership at ProFuturo, will analyse the impact of emerging technologies on our societies, such as artificial intelligence, as well as their implications for skills and competencies of the 21st century. In her speech, she will present ProFuturo’s working model and its experience in Latin America and the world.
ProFuturo also has its own stand in the exhibition area (EDD Global Village, stand No. 80), where it will display not only digital education equipment but also the digital education solution, with special emphasis on the work that is being carried out on the analysis and use of data.
