ProFuturo's collaboration with this organisation dates back to 2021, when they began working together in Rwanda. A year later, the partnership was extended to Zimbabwe and Nigeria.

Fundación Telefónica and Fundación La Caixa welcomed the UNHCR Spain team to Madrid for a day of collaboration with ProFuturo. Alexis Lefranc, project manager at UNHCR, took part in the visit.

ProFuturo’s collaboration with this organisation dates back to 2021, when they began working together in Rwanda. A year later, the alliance was extended to Zimbabwe and Nigeria, where they continue to operate today.

This partnership involves the implementation of the ProFuturo digital education programme in different schools and includes the provision of technology (such as computers, tablets and projectors), an educational content platform, and a training and capacity development programme for teachers.

To date, 26 schools in the three countries have benefited, bringing digital education to both refugee students and host communities. In addition, 59 technology equipment kits with 2,850 tablets have been distributed and are now part of everyday life in classrooms, impacting a total of 1,622 teachers and 35,064 children.

By country, the impact figures are as follows:

In Rwanda, 1,136 teachers and more than 28,490 students are already using the ProFuturo platform.

In Nigeria, 211 teachers have been trained and 1,765 students are using the platform.

In Zimbabwe, more than 275 teachers and 4,809 students are already using ProFuturo’s tools.
