We say goodbye to His Holiness, Pope Francis, with great sadness, but above all with infinite gratitude for his support of the ProFuturo project since the inception of the initiative in 2016.
That year, he encouraged us to improve the educational conditions of the most vulnerable people in the world, and saw the great opportunity to do so through technology.
Throughout all this time, year after year, we have shared with him the progress of the project, with stories of beneficiaries from schools in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. And we always received his encouragement to continue working for the educational present of the most vulnerable, to make their prosperous and dignified future easier.
Each birthday, close to Christmas, the children, teachers, and families of ProFuturo also wanted to send their thanks, their stories of growth, motivation, and learning, which translated into new perspectives for their lives, offering hope for them and their communities.
On behalf of all of them, the ProFuturo team, and its founding organisations, Fundación Teléfonica and Fundación ‘la Caixa’, we want to sincerely thank you.
