The present and the future of Education in Africa under discussion

ProFuturo organizes several roundtable discussions to address the challenges and opportunities of education on the continent.

On the occasion of Africa Day, on Tuesday, May 27 at 11:30 a.m., the auditorium of Espacio Fundación Telefónica (Fuencarral, 3) will host the event ‘The Transformative Power of E-ducation in Africa‘.

The event, promoted by Fundación ProFuturo—an initiative driven by Fundación Telefónica and “la Caixa” Foundation—will feature several roundtable discussions on the present and future of education on the continent.

Throughout the morning, several experts, moderated by Patricia R. Blanco, journalist at Planeta Futuro (El País), will share their perspectives on the state of education, the challenges and opportunities facing the African continent, the projects shaping the future of education and employability, and the importance of public-private partnerships in tackling the many challenges ahead.

You can reserve your free ticket here. Admission will be granted until venue capacity is reached.

The event will include accessibility measures for people with hearing impairments (magnetic induction loop, Spanish Sign Language, and amplified sound via headphones). It will be held in Spanish and English, with simultaneous interpretation.

Later, the event will be available on demand in the Espacio Fundación Telefónica media library.
