The Pontifical University of Salamanca, the University of the Spanish Episcopal Conference, has its roots in the 13th century, although it was officially founded in 1940. Today, they collaborate with Fundación Telefónica and ProFuturo through the proFuturo-UPSA Chair.

< View All ContributorsSet in 1940 to restore the faculties of Theology and Canons, which had been excluded from Spanish university classrooms a century earlier, the Pontifical University of Salamanca, the University of the Spanish Episcopal Conference, has its roots in the 13th century. Since 2018, ProFuturo and the Telefónica Chairs Network have held the Telefónica ProFuturo-UPSA Chair “Data analytics for educational projects in vulnerable environments.” The Chair has been promoting research and development technologies to exploit data from ProFuturo’s educational projects for four years.
