The ProFuturo Race returns to Madrid’s sporting calendar on 22 March 2026, once again being held in parallel with the Movistar Madrid Half Marathon and turning the Spanish capital into a huge sporting celebration.
The race retains its iconic 5-kilometre route through the centre of Madrid, passing through Gran Vía, Puerta del Sol and Plaza de Cibeles.
This will be the 10th edition of a charity race promoted by Fundación Telefónica and Fundación ‘la Caixa’ through their international ProFuturo programme, which seeks to reduce gaps and transform vulnerable environments through educational innovation and technology.
Last year’s edition broke participation records with 2,092 people running for the charitable cause. Athletes Abel Antón, Chema Martínez and Lorenzo Albaladejo were among the participants.
Registration is now open on the official website.
