ProFuturo listed in the Learning Cabinet, a platform developed by UNICEF and partners

The educational innovation programme by Fundación Telefónica and Fundación “la Caixa” is now part of this platform, which is guided by the EdTech for Good framework developed by UNICEF, the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, ARM and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), in collaboration with global partners.

The educational innovation programme ProFuturo, developed by Fundación Telefónica and Fundación “la Caixa”, has been included in the Learning Cabinet, a curated discovery platform of EdTech solutions that demonstrate evidence of impact and potential to scale.

The Learning Cabinet supports governments, multilateral organisations, and large-scale education programmes in identifying high-quality digital tools, particularly for use in diverse and resource-constrained contexts. The platform is guided by the EdTech for Good Framework, developed by UNICEF, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Arm, and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), in collaboration with global partners.

ProFuturo was reviewed through a structured evaluation process aligned with the framework, which considers multiple dimensions of quality and readiness for scale. These include:

  • Impact on learning: Evidence of tangible educational outcomes.
  • Equity and inclusion: Accessibility and relevance in low-resource and low-connectivity contexts
  • Scalability and sustainability:  Capacity for large-scale and long-term implementation.
  • Educational quality: Instructional design based on the science of learning.
  • Safety and governance: Responsible and ethical use of data.

Inclusion in the Learning Cabinet reflects that ProFuturo has undergone a structured review process against the EdTech for Good Framework. The platform brings together solutions that aim to support improving learning outcomes and expanding access to quality education globally.
