A Fortunate Stumble into Digital Education

It all started in 2005 when, freshly graduated, he joined Blackboard, becoming one of its first international employees at a pivotal moment for the edtech industry.

Within just three years, he rose to lead the global mobile learning division, where he developed pioneering initiatives that strategically addressed the dawn of the smartphone era. Under his leadership, the company significantly expanded its presence in the mobile market, anticipating the emerging needs of the digital education sector.

The experience gained at Blackboard allowed him to identify key market opportunities. In 2017, he founded EDT Partners, a global consulting firm specialising in educational innovation, which now has over 40 senior specialists across 16 countries. The firm has positioned itself as a strategic advisor to educational institutions, governments, and corporations seeking to transform their learning processes through technology.

His expertise at the intersection of pedagogy and technology has led him to spearhead high-impact projects, such as cero.acoso.org, the first comprehensive platform to combat school bullying. In parallel, he has collaborated with leading market institutions and driven the development of new educational platforms grounded in scientific evidence.

Currently, from his role at EDT Partners, Pablo Langa leads global digital transformation projects in education, focusing on the effective implementation of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence. His approach combines technological innovation with measurable outcomes, prioritising real learning impact over fleeting market trends.

That initial chance encounter with the educational world has evolved into a lifelong mission: to democratise access to quality education through technology. His career path shows that, at the crossroads of education and innovation, the best opportunities sometimes arise from the most unexpected paths.
