The Importance of PartnershipsThe year 2026 has marked the consolidation of the partnership between ProFuturo and American Tower, a collaboration that last year reached more than 36,000 students, nearly 1,900 teachers, and 97 schools, and which this year has resulted in field visits in countries such as Mexico, Peru, and Brazil. In addition, 2026 has also seen the strengthening of the partnership between ProFuturo and Iberia. In its first year of collaboration, the airline has facilitated the travel of the program’s technical teams to various Latin American countries where it operates: Peru, Mexico, Ecuador, Brazil, and Chile.
The Agreement with Fundación Secretariado GitanoLast May, Fundación Telefónica and ProFuturo signed an agreement with Fundación Secretariado Gitano in which they set out to provide extracurricular support and digital skills training for students and their families, as well as training for teachers in the Promociona program and other professionals at the organization. This collaboration thus continues the strategic partnership they have been developing, aimed at promoting academic success, reducing the digital divide, and fostering the labor market inclusion of Romani youth in Spain.
Joining Learning CabinetFollowing a structured evaluation process in accordance with the EdTech for Good Framework, ProFuturo is now part of Learning Cabinet. Developed by UNICEF, the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Arm, and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), in collaboration with international partners, this platform supports governments, multilateral organizations, and educational programs in identifying high-quality digital tools.
The Application of AI to EducationProFuturo’s strategy for pedagogical and technological innovation involves developing an integrated and accessible digital ecosystem that maximizes educational impact, as well as creating inclusive, personalized, and effective learning experiences. As an example of this, this year saw the launch of the course AI Literacy: Thinking Like Machines. The course presentation, which was attended by hundreds of teachers from Spain, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, and Panama, featured Charles Fadel, founder of the Center for Curriculum Redesign.
Formar a quienes enseñanComposed of members from Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Nigeria, the ProFuturo trainer hub met in Madrid last April for a series of sessions designed to continue their training program, create opportunities to share with the global team , and help strengthen their bonds as the core group of the coaching community. In addition, the in-person gathering allowed them to share best practices across operations with a special focus on strategic issues, such as the rollout of the new ProFuturo Offline Platform, ProFuturo Math, and the Teacher Self-Assessment Tool.
A New Visual Identity for New ChallengesCoinciding with its tenth anniversary, ProFuturo unveiled this month its new visual identity that reflects the program’s global reach and relevance and projects a more contemporary, technological, and global image, in line with the program’s track record and the international scope it has achieved over the past ten years, while reflecting attributes such as innovation, educational leadership, the capacity for transformation, and its commitment to creating opportunities through education.
