Expo 2020 Dubai recognises ProFuturo as a Global Best Practice Programme

ProFuturo has been chosen by the Expo 2020 Dubai as one of the 20 Global Best Practice Programme innovations for its “Untold stories” programme. The common theme of the selected initiatives is their work on tackling some of the greatest challenges in the world today, including several that are present in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are 17 global goals created to make the world a better and more sustainable place for all.

The Global Best Practice Programme highlights the importance of bringing together the most creative minds for developing innovative projects as an essential part of Expo 2020’s commitment to fostering a positive change in the world through cooperation and the exchange of ideas and knowledge.

“These 20 selected projects are already having a real and positive impact on the lives of people at a time when millions of citizens are facing major challenges. The Global Best Practice Programme is testimony to our continuous commitment to projects that the world needs right now, and it reflects the efforts of the United Arab Emirates to drive a positive change in a series of key global questions”, explains Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates for International Cooperation, Director-General of Expo 2020 of the Dubai Office and President of the National Committee of the United Arab Emirates for the Sustainable Development Goals.

For Expo 2020 Dubai, the Best Practice programme is made up of simple, manageable and successful initiatives that have been implemented initially or collectively with other institutions – initiatives that take on sustainable social development and that can be adapted or reproduced globally to achieve a sustainable impact.

ProFuturo, as one of the Untold Stories of the social development area, has been invited to show its initiatives (best practice solutions), together with all the other selected projects during the 2021-2022 expo. The Best Practice Area (BPA) will be a multifunctional space, housed in the opportunity pavilion, where all the selected best practices will be shown.

“The selected projects included in this programme will benefit from a unique platform that allows contact among all the heads of initiatives that seek global change, thereby facilitating the exchange of experiences, knowledge and global collaboration within the scope of the SDGs”, Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy further explained.
