Next Saturday 6 April 2024, in the emblematic Distrito Telefónica in Madrid, a very special event will take place: the ProFuturo 2024 Children’s Races. These races, which are part of the activities leading up to the Movistar Madrid Half Marathon and the ProFuturo 2024 Race, promise to be an unforgettable experience for children of all ages.
The ProFuturo Race began in 2016 with a clear objective: a run for education. Since then, every year we have taken to the streets of Madrid to celebrate a day full of sport and commitment to the ProFuturo educational programme, contributing to bringing the transformational power of education, innovation and technology to children in every corner of the planet. People of all ages can participate; the race for seniors is scheduled for the following day: 7 April.
On 6 April, anyone from babies to 14-year-olds will be able to join in. The little runners will have the opportunity to join different races according to their age, ranging from short distances to longer courses. Fun and sport come together in an atmosphere of joy and solidarity, with a symbolic registration fee of €1.
Registration is now open on the event’s official website and those who wish to join can do so until 3 April. In addition, during the Runner’s Expo from 4 to 6 April, there will be an additional opportunity to register, provided that some of the 500 racing bibs are still available.
Running not only keeps children active, but also encourages them to interact with others in a different way, entertains them and opens doors to the world of sport! Most importantly, by participating in these charitable events, they are contributing to a real change in the lives of other children around the world, giving them the opportunity to access quality education.
